Fantasy Zone runs both points leagues and category (9-cat) leagues. Here's how to choose.
Points leagues
Every stat is worth points (for example rebounds 1, assists 2, steals and blocks 4, turnovers -2) and the highest total wins the week. Simple to follow, exciting to watch live, and great for new players.
9-cat leagues
You compete in nine categories - FG%, FT%, threes, points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and turnovers - and win the matchup by taking the most categories. It rewards balance and strategy, like "punting" a category you can't win.
Which is better?
- New league or casual friends: points.
- Experienced players who love strategy: 9-cat.
